{Twelve concrete steps to help the Sumilao Farmers in their cause}

from http://sumilaomarch.multiply.com

To end the 12 years of deceit, injustice, and suffering.

1. Boycott San Miguel Corporation.

- Boycott products particularly SMFI Products (for rationale and details, visit http://boycottsanmiguel.multiply.com)
- Patronize alternative products preferably direct competitors.
- Block SMC Human Resource Dept from joining school job fairs. Our graduates should not join UNETHICAL companies who practice INAUTHENTIC Corporate Social Responsibility.

2. Write to all publications:

- Letters to the editors
For Inquirer: Fax 897-4793 / 897-4794
Email: readersadvocate@inquirer.com.ph

- Articles for School Publications, etc.
You may visit www.slb.ph for a detailed backgrounder.

3. Use the internet to aggressively campaign for the Sumilao farmers' cause. Email blast, blog entries, online fora, etc.

4. Text brigade: "Support the Sumilao Farmers demand for Cease and Desist Order and Notice of Coverage, (if brave enough) Boycott San Miguel products."

5. Wear a shirt supporting the Sumilao farmers.

The shirts are available at SLB, contact Marj at 426-5968 / hotline 0922-8600-SLB). The shirts are also available at the PAKISAMA Office, contact Agnes at 02-4342079.

6. Join the Jericho march (non-stop walk) around Malacanang this February 6 starting with a 2:00PM mass at Manila Cathedral.

7. Write letters to San Miguel Corporation.

c/o Mr. Ramon S. Ang
President, San Miguel Corporation
No. 40 San Miguel Avenue, Mandaluyong City

Email: rang@sanmiguel.com.ph
Fax: 631-6120

8. Write letters to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Malacanang, asking for a Cease and Desist Order.

PGMA Fax: 736-1010
Presidential Legal Counsel Serge Apostol Fax: 736-1171

9. Write letters to DAR Secretary Nasser Pangandaman asking for a Notice of Coverage.

Department of Agrarian Reform
Elliptical Road, Quezon City
Email: nasserp@dar.gov.ph
Fax: 929-3088

10. Display a sign of support for the Sumilao Farmers in your homes and offices. Sample: "We Support the Sumilao Farmers' Walk for Land, Walk for Justice. Boycott San Miguel Products."

11. Share the Sumilao story to all the people you know. For updates, check www.slb.ph OR http://simbahanglingkod.multiply.com

12. Storm the heavens with prayer. Particular intentions: CDO release and Notice of Coverage
