{(unfinished and incomplete) thank you list}

(note: sorry this is a work in progress. will update ASAP.)

i distinctly remember saying during the barops TBS last summer that i don't want to thank the members of the barops 2008 team. not that they do not deserve any thanks but rather i knew that they volunteered for this endeavor not as a favor for me (well, i had to "coerce" some people..hehe!) but because they shared the same vision and wanted to do their part in helping our the up law bar examinees even despite the knowledge that they would have to make sacrifices. however, i've realized i just can't help it. the overwhelming support, enthusiasm, tenacity of the following people deserve no less than a BIG THANK YOU. so before i move beyond the past six months of my life, i just would like to say thank you to the following (in no particular order):

my family for being super supportive and understanding, for proving that when i barops, my entire family baropses (haha naging verb) with me, especially to my parents for not complaining about their bordering-on-absentee-daughter, for sponsoring some barops goodies (and pop for acceding to all my printing requests even if it costs an arm and a leg to print those giant full-color posters),

lsg eb - for their ownership of the bar ops, for not leaving me behind, and recognizing such as an lsg endeavor
jobert - the ever-reliable lsg president and barops deputy who took over when i was gone for the summer and put up with my panic attacks and kakulitan with the turtlish cheerfulness and patience that is just so...jobert (hehe).
aaron - for making sure everything went well with "secret ops" despite exams and what-not and for not giving up despite all the (mis)adventures
janette - for putting up with my kakulitan and helping out with the finances and merch
bernice - for taking charge of photo ops (hehe!) and for being super helpful and supportive even despite her busy-ness
sophia - for letting me rant and helping out by driving at odd hours, getting tips, setting up and manning the merch booth, for always reminding me to delegate (oh btw, i forgive you for elephant-napping greffie! hehehe!).

allelu - for being a super reliable, cheerful and supportive barops deputy, for putting up with my tears, fears, insecurities and over-all craziness, for never giving up on me and barops, for constantly reminding me to share/spread the burden, for accompanying me while looking for alternative residences
ryan - for being, along with allelu (hehe issue! joke lang!), my security blanker and sounding board, for motivating the rest of the acads team,
henry - for helping out despite the fact that he is busy with work and his wife was taking the bar, for lending us his wireless internet and books and reviewers
jhoe, jackie, viola, tere, sam, andi, dielle, carol, erwin - for sacrificing their summer vacations to make, update, and improve the reviewers, for making the preweeks, and for spending entire nights making tips
bok - for organizing the masses and for making sure everything went smoothly

ruby - for making sure i would eat during barops weekends to the point of force-feeding me (hehe!) and for being a wonderful and super masipag HR head
dianna - for the wonderful videos, the never-ending supply of encouraging words and smiles, the boundless energy and enthusiasm
tim - for putting up with my kakulitan and texts in the wee hours of the morning, for helping out despite the fact that she was busy heading her sorority's bar operations
mabs - for her happy presence and ability to engage the volunteers and her tireless 'mommying' of the volunteers
patch - for planning the super fun TBS and getting the ball rolling

cesca and sopfia - for putting up with my endless text messages and kakulitans regarding merch and tireless manning the booth despite their hectic exam schedule
gayle - for taking on the task of being the one-woman food committee and tirelessly helping out with merch
kring - for her cheerful presence during the barops weekends and her not getting mad when i asked her and dianna to cook
don - for taking on the challenging task of marketing and despite the drawbacks, always following-up and making sure we had something, for never getting mad at me despite my being so makulit and for staying despite having to go to Canada for a while (and even soliciting from friends there)
russ - for accepting to co-head marketing despite work and for always keepng me updated and taking charge of the food booth

rachel, rich - for being patient with me despite the scheduling of meetings and my being sabog (hehe our work is not yet done pala).

chris - for accepting the task of being the hotel ops head even if i pretty much invoked our friendship (haha just kidding) and doing a wonderful job, for being OC, strict, systematic, for tirelessly working into the wee hours of the morning and beyond
the rest of hotel ops, diana, the tireless and creative hotelops deputy, ice, for his ceaseless kwento and cheeriness, roland for always helping out, macel for tirelessly working without any rest, awi for all her hard work and her happy presence (and i haven;t forgotten the water and chips and medicine you gave me when i was getting sick last august..thank you!), leo and kimmy for consistently helping out even if they had class, emee for helping awi out (hehe) and helping us refill the ink cartridge (yet strangely i'm the one who got ink all over myself haha)

lobit - for sharing some of her blog entries during the time i felt that i wanted to give up. i never expressed such but they helped me realize many things.
rosanne - for lending us her tables and chairs for her messages and words of encouragement

the entire UP LAW BAR OPERATIONS 2008 TEAM, for sticking with the vision despite the fact that the room rates went up by at least 50%, the banning of setting up tents along taft, the eviction of some reviewees from their dorms, and other unforeseen but nevertheless frustrating problems that never seemed to quite go away. lesser people would have given up, you guys stayed. i think you deserve nothing less than monuments put up in your honor (but i know you guys did it for the love of UP Law).

i do not believe in utang na loob as i believe it fosters patronage, hiya, and other not-so-palatable values and i would much rather pay it forward, but i am grateful to everyone who helped out and supported the UP Law Bar Operations. you kept me going and inspired me. Basta, if you guys ever need a willing slave (hehe..how oxymoronic), i'm all yours. hehehe :D
